Release notes 1.0.0

The 1.0 release candidate is finally ready. If no major bugs are found, this is the version that will be used for Fileside’s public launch.

Trial version

Fileside now by default starts up in trial mode, in which it will happily run for 30 days. Thereafter, either a reinstall to extend the trial period, or the purchase of a license will be required.

Custom DMG background on Mac

We couldn’t have an official release without a custom DMG background now, could we?

Bug fixes

Crash after removing pane

There was a race condition where the app could crash if removing a pane at exactly the moment when the file watcher had detected a change and issued a new instruction to fetch the directory contents.
